Well I can run h.264 movies fine on my pc. Running them with dvbdream is a different thing, seems you need more power.

Power to run mpeg-4(h264)?

I've got an Athlon XP 3200+ with 2gigs of DDR memory. My card (Geforce 6600GT) I think is too slow to run h.264. I've already tried all combinations of codecs and the video is choppy. Do I need a faster card to let me run h.264 without problems or do I also need a faster processor?

That's what I was afraid of, upgrading my system and still getting slowmotion video and offsync audio. Try CoreAVC just for the hell of it. I don't know what these people who claim to be getting h264 with no problems are doing.

FredB, ok it might be the codecs then. I will have to ditch Cyberlink and find out why I get horizontal bands with CoreAVC. But let me repeat again, several months ago using Cyberlink I was getting 1080i fine in both mpeg-2 and h264. I'm pretty sure it was 1080i h264 because NBC and CBS have been br...

So you want to start another flame war? I said I didn't want to hear from you. I only wish to communicate with the DVBDream team now as they must be more normal-headed than you. You are useless for help and don't like providing courteous customer support. I can put the word Genpix in the topic witho...

DVBDream team- Genpix card

I commend you for stopping nonsense flame threads like the one in the "Bug Reports" forum. All I wanted was help, not to get into a flame war with some weird members of the forum. I wish you would have locked it instead of deleted it though, as people will not find out they need a faster computer th...

You're the troll, didn't I tell you to bug off? You like sticking your nose into others business when you don't have a problem and they do. I had a complaint and was talking to that guy Genpix not you so mind your own business. If it works for you fine and say so, and then go away. You're only tryin...

You're only making youself look bad with replies that contain sarcasm and nonsense. Go ahead it's your reputation that will keep getting tarnished. You obviously don't know how to run a business right. Customer support is always one of the most important things. Now I can tell others the answer is a...

Wow genpix you sure are delusional, no wonder you can't even provide a shred of customer support. People here saying I need a more powerful computer have provided better support. To Jammer, I've already acknowledged that a faster system might help. I'm just rebuting all the other crap that people ha...

Genpix doesn't know me but I do own two of his earlier modules (not the skywalker). The modules do exactly what they are supposed to do. There's not a thing he can do about the content in the streams. It's up to you to determine how to decode/decrypt/render them. We're going around in circles now, ...

You're either a Genpix plant or one of his friends. You say his card works with dvbdream right. I say it DOESN'T. Like I've said before dvbdream and h264 used to work fine with my system, but it seems now I need a faster processor or better card and MAYBE if I'm lucky it will work properly again. Wh...

Well I'll be upgrading my computer anyway so we'll see. But this very unhelpful attitude from Genpix shows everyone the kind of person he is. I don't want to hear any more technical crap about not knowing how dvb-s works, or that the card does not decode mpeg. The simple fact is the card has to work...

This is really too bad, I didn't know I was dealing with a swindler. You play dumb just on some technical facts I may have wrong. You're trying to be all technical by saying "the card doesn't do software decoding". But the codecs do! And guess what? Your card doesn't work right with them anymore! Ei...

Finally a response. Too bad you seem to be taking a defensive stand instead of a helpful one, and you have no good points to make. 1st Who told you it was encrypted data? Just because some idiot on this thread said that? I am talking about unencrypted mpeg-2/mpeg-4. Either way, you know you're selli...
