A checkbox that lets you decide if the app opens to the same monitor it previously was opened on would be nice. Also -- try the arcsoft h264 codec, found in arsoft total media extreme (trial version ok). For me, it is smoother (though that changes if I change the channel), but it also seems like a lower quality picture (to me).

I think it's probably your 7800GS, which doesn't have h264 hardware support, so all the decoding is done by the CPU. Which might be fine, but I'm guessing if you use purevideo HD codec with an 8000 or 9000 series Nvidia, you will have good success.
