I am planning to buy this card because of the 4 tuners but I am not sure if it will work with DD and especially if the recording of different channels in the same bouquet will be possible.
Any chance somebody has already this card and tried such a recording?

Re: Hauppauge Win TV quad HD
Hi, I have the same Hauppauge Quad card.
I can't record 4 channels at once with Dvbdream unfortunately :/
When scheduled, it only records 1 channel at a time (I initially thought it can do 4 with the quad card; website says
"Multi recording (record more than 1 channel at the same time)"
Please help.. Cheers

I have a PCTV Dual Tuner card and need two instances of DVBDream running to record off the two tuners. One instance will only record one multiplex. May be you will need four copies of DVBDream to record four streams from the Quad.

wow! thanks for your reply....
Kinda disappointed with dvbdream... :/
Hope the creator of the program will see that it needs to be upgraded and updated to handle tuner cards that have multiple tuners in-one card eg. Quad card.

Re: Hauppauge Win TV quad HD
I've got the card finally and works amazingly good with DD.
Hauppauge driver installs 4 different tuners so you have to install 4 instances of DD, but this is completely logical as you can imagine the Quad HD like 4 different PCI-E tuners using the same slot.
The signal and quality levels are much better than my previous USB tuners and the PC resources much less.
In my AMD X3 @3.2 GHz with 4 GB of RAM I've got a CPU load of 20% when firing 14(!) simultaneous recordings, 6 of them in 1920x1080 resolution and the rest at 720x756. All of them had 0 dropped frames after an hour, so I am totally satisfied from the card and the DD handling of it.
Great work DD!

PS You can use plugin and channel list sharing features that are in DVB Dream settings window. Once you have 4 installations of DVB Dream in 4 folders, you can pick one as master installation, and change other installations settings and point to that master's channel list and pluıgin folder.
That will same some time with channel scanning and plugin configuration.

DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
