dvbdream , ffdshow & widescreen

Postby biffo » Thu Jul 06, 2006 5:35 am

hi to everybody. I've passed last days try to discovering how to watch correctly dvbdream in fullscreen on my 16/9 widescreen. I read that dd at the moment doesn't support zoom & pan and you have to use ffdshow. So I tryed with the zoom of ffdshow : it zoom in the image but the area still remain the same and I continue to have lateral black bars. I also tried with resizing but still nothing. Anyone has a suggestion ?

Try this - Ctrl+G > Aspect ratio > 16/9, for TV window - right click > 16/9. Use VMR9 video renderer. And use "Recommended options" - more here.

Edit: I'm not sure about those Aspect ratios, if you already use 16/9, try 4/3. You can also try "Resize and aspect" option in ffdshow, it's not the best for 4/3 monitors, but maybe it could help...

At the moment I obtained some result changing the overlay aspect ratio in "Resize & aspect" and then using vertical magnification in section "Crop & zoom". But I 'm not sure that's the correct way. The aspect ratio in dd doesn't seem to have any effect.
thanks
