DD 1.4b - SIMOSD

Postby chattana » Tue Nov 06, 2007 7:57 pm

Note of DD 1.4b says:
* SimOSD update (keyboard shorcuts, see SimOSD_1.21_en.txt

I cannot find the SimOSD_1.21_en.txt file within DD installation folder. Please let me know where I could download or view it.
Thanks

This version is awsome. Great work.

I have some suggestions:

Could we combine channel info and channel EPG into one action: example: when I press Shift+I will see channel info and now EPG, when I press Shift+I second time, will see channel info and next EPG, and when Press shift+I again (third time) the info disappear...

I am asking this because when using remote control, most of the time people don't have lot of keys on the remote control to map with different actions.

On the channel list, could we use standard arrow keys to navigate? I guess not, because when I use up and down key, the SIMOSD does not pick them, but the DD gets them and change the channel itself, regarless the SIMOSD channel list is still active.

Is there anyway for SIMOSD to catch the arrow up and down and not pass to DD when the SIMOSD channel list is active shown on top of the DD?

Thanks

I have suggestion to let user to :

1. change Background images.
2. change all font colors and font sizes. (i need bigger fonts for my small TV Display)
3. change positions of text boxes. (my tv is croping a part of screen)

It schould not be problem to exclude that parts of module to external text files (for settings) and graphics files for background images.

There's a little bug in SimOSD 1.21. Pressing some keys (U, B, D, H and Enter) when DD's windows is focused makes DD crash. Simoh has just made a test version that should fix this issue. An updated version should be released very soon.

there is small problem with HotkeyP users.
I cant send shift+(key) to dvbdream window.
Its not working.
I cant assign global hotkeys to SimOSD functions, i cant assign that functions to my RC.

Im asking for change hotkeys to not use shift.

Or maybe someone has another solution ?

Dreamer: sure :)

i have 4 hotkeys defined in HotkeyP now.

ch+, ch-, rec(on/off), info

On DVBDream side ch+, ch- and rec have got shortcuts:
arrowup, arrowdown and F4
So in HotkeyP im making definitions that works:

hotkey: (CTRL+ALT+K)
command: Send command to window
param: \F4 dvbdream.exe

But for SimOSD info i have to send Shift+W shortcut to dvbdream window.

So i have done that definition:
hotkey: (CTRL+ALT+W)
command: Send command to window
param: \shift.w dvbdream.exe

and its not working and its problem with sending right hotkey to dvbdream (i have tested it using Run button in HotkeyP window)

in HotkeyP manual is written that i can use keycombinations using "."

So in HotkeyP im making definitions that works:

hotkey: (CTRL+ALT+K)
command: Send command to window
param: \F4 dvbdream.exe
Are you sure this is working?? "command" is for commands only, not to simulate keyboard shortcuts.

Try to change "Send command to window" to "Send keys to window" and parameters to "\shiftw dvbdream.exe" ("." doesn't work good sometimes).

sorry it was Send Keys to Window .. im not at home ... and i forgot real name of that command ....

I will try without dot.

Ok .. now im @ home .... and i have tested:

Send Keys to Window
\shiftw dvbdream.exe

and its not working.

Of course when im pushing Shift+W for real .. all is ok so it looks that is problem with HotkeyP not with DVBDream or SimOSD.

im not an expert but maybe its problem with format of sent keys ?

No, HotkeyP is working good, I tried Shift+ in other program, perhaps a special parameter is needed, it's a module shortcut, not a DD shortcut, perhaps Rel knows which exactly, I tried these, but it's not working:

dvbdream.exe&(Tfmain|ftvwindow|fvideo|TfPIP)

I think that we need full editable hotkey table in DVBDream.
Possiblity to assign keys combination to all actions... option to make that hotkeys global ... etc. it should be best solution for problem with rc.

Did anyone ever figure this out, or figure out a workaround?

I'm using the Twinhan remote and I'd like to be able to configure a button that will display OSD.
