Unable to generate Graph

Postby mgm1 » Sun Jun 18, 2006 12:17 am

Installed latest DVB Dream 1.1G, Elecard, etc and once in awhile get display but I cannot generate a graph using Graphmaker. In other words, I don't think I'm getting the codecs to recognize? Thanks in advance for any reply...

DD has not yet external graph ability. If you have installed elecard codecs DD recognizes anyway. Options->video->internal graph-> video codec.
Check file guids.ini
"VIDEOCODEC4=Elecard (Suitable for 4:2:2 feeds -some problems) , {F50B3F13-19C4-11CF-AA9A-02608C9BABA2}
VIDEOCODEC13=Elecard 3.0 (Suitable for 4:2:2 feeds - non-HD Compatible) , {BC4EB321-771F-4E9F-AF67-37C631ECA106}"
TwinHan VP1022A (Red Card)/ Drivers: 2.4.1.1/ DVBWorld Box USB 2.0/ WinXpProSp2/ Intel Celeron CPU 2.66Ghz/ 512 MB of RAM/ Nvidia Geforce FX 5700 -256Mb/

Thank you very much for the reply. The above is confirmed. When I was able to see anything, the Elecard codecs were selected but the video was very patchy at best. Most of the time it remained locked.

Guids.ini had the codecs that you mentioned and many others. Saw ddreg.bat in the root folder, executed it, now when I access DVB, I get to the initial screen and the system reboots. Now it seems I've really fugged things up...

Reinstalled over the top of DVB Dream installation and now get video but it's very patchy (locking, gaps, etc.). Tried testing other codecs but system just reboots (AMD Athlon 1100+, 512MB RAM, Nvidia Video bd). I'm assuming that maybe this system is just not powerful enough but the CPU usage is very low. Baffled as to why I'm unable to get semi-clean streaming video when others seem to be having terrific results. My channel changes are taking a very long time also.

Could be a bad video driver, especially if you use hardware accelerated MPEG2 decoding. Try other newer/older video drivers for your video card.

Yes, that could be it. I'll see if there's an updated driver.

Anything that decreases the wait between channels?

also could depend on what plugins you are using. What channels you are trying to tune in etc.

I had problems with Freezing and choppiness in vpl** 0.8.8 and 0.8.9 and any s2*** plugin but the with vpl** 0.8.9 with the 0.9.0 dll installed I am able to watch TV without a problem.

I am not sure if it is a system problem not being beefy enough as I am using DD on a Athlon 750 with no problems.

If I'm not mistaken, I've loaded the full VPL** 0.9.0 (not just the dll).

Should I revert back to 0.8.9 and use the 0.9.0 dll?

Also, I thought s2*** was also required. Is that not the case?

I do not use S2 at all.

VPL I had 0.8.9 and I downloaded the 0.9.0 and it was just the DLL so I am not sure if there is a "Full" version.

Neither of those plugins are required. It all depends on what you are doing with the DVB-S.

Your issue could be with Video Graphs, Plugin's or many other things. Try tuning in to a True FTA channel and see if the Pixelation and freezing still happen.

I've not been able to creat a Video Graph. Error msg was posted earlier.
