3 months limit

Postby Dreamer » Sun Sep 10, 2006 2:57 pm

I think this limit is not good, I tried to install old version to check something about EPG, some old EPG plugin - after first dialog, second one has shown and DD won't run, maybe it was just a bug in older version, but DD should run even after 3 months, then some warning dialog might shown, but DD should run after OK. Not everyone has the internet and can install new version immediately and not everyone wants to do it. Also some users might think DD is shareware then...

I have to agree with Dreamer :(

I don't like this kind of limit.

Becouse of this kind of limit for example a long time ago I stoped using SkyAvc.ax

I understand this limit to test or experimental versions, not to release versions.

I agree with you all !!!!!!

First of all thanks to all developers for that excellent software work !!!!

But such a brutal forced update i have never seen yet. Yesterday i wanted to a stors a sat video from TV and my dvbdream didn't start and wrote this force update message instead. I think thats really not the way to do it, sorry.
I think about downgrading to version 0.8.x that didn't have this blocking feature.
