Make sure you have one of the tested cards, if you need diseqc or motor support , also make sure it is specifed that your card has raw diseqc support on its DD interface, then DD should work nicely.
http://www.dvbdream.org/supported_devices.php

WDM drivers will work better than BDA for Twinhan and SS2.

So WDM drivers are recommended for B2C2 PCI/USB(SkyStar2, AirStar, CableStar) and Twinhan PCI (vp1020, vp1030..) models instead of BDA driver.
SkyStar2 will need Mibi's patched WDM drivers to be able to command diseqc switches and motors.
For Twinhan's Starbox and DVB-S2 models, ScanMan's BDA_ALLdriver is recommended.

BDA DVB-S devices : It needs device specific codes for Diseqc an CI support since BDA specification doesnt support diseqc and CI. Some of device specific diseqc are implemented and some might be implemented in next versions. If you have any information on how to implement Diseqc support on your BDA device , please let me know. We will try to implement necessary code in DD.

Twinhan:
It won't work good on Twinhan Starbox and their other new models, you could have a lot of problem. (You should give a try to ScanMan's alternative BDA_ALL device interface, you can find it on DD forum, people say it works nice with StarBox)

The versions which have neen tested with "BDA Native" DD interface
- 1020a
- 1030a
- 102g (according to user reports)
- 1022a (according to user reports)
- 1025 (according to user reports)
To fix the issues with other twinhan devices some documentation(maybe SDK) or the device itself would be required to test with.

Hi,

I can confirm that my SS2 works fine with Diseqc WITHOUT patched drivers. I had problems in the past due to cheap, low quality diseq device. Since i switched it to better one i have no problem switching diseq reliably.

Still, I have couple of stability issues (see my other posts), but not too often.

Although the issues, DD is the most stable of all i tried. Too bad it misses couple of keypoint features (like DVB subtitles).

Thanks.

Were do I get the newest WDM driver? Twinhan website only gives the BDA drivers. Once I get this driver anyone show me a link to a POST to get a DP twin to switch with a 1020a?

Hi

It is my Firs post so .. THANKS FOR THE GREAT PROGRAM
:) :) :)
I can confirm that my tbs DVB-S2 8920 is working fine without any patch with the new driver supplied by the manufacturer (http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/S8920/8920driver.rar)

with 7 LNB's connected to uncommitted disecq

My TT-s2 3600 USB is not able to do that - maybe a driver problem.

I have a Kathrein UHF910 working in my sitting room, but I also purchased my Hauppauge Nova HD S2 recently.
I've been trying various DVB soft. No one had all working features that I wanted. Then I downloaded DD and...

-within seconds I had "Das Erste"
-within minutes I had "Astra HD+"
-next day I downloaded new BDA, now I have Diseqc1.0 for 4 satellites
-vPlug2.3.7 is working like a charm, after I fed it the right stuff ;)
-from what I see DDv1.4i looks quite stable
-and on the top of it- DD is freeware

It is absolutely fantastic!

What I need more is perhaps Diseqc1.1, but I think I'll figure it out reading this site (if my Nova can send raw commands at all, of course).
Another thing is, I'm afraid, more complicated- how to convince my "ATI Radeon HD 2600 pro" hardware to take over some work from the
good old Athlon2.2GHz CPU I am using for the time.
I think the right codec configuration should help here.
I have a lot of codecs on my XP system, but I see only four of them in the Options>Video>AutoGraph>H.264codec dialog box.
Even if I built a graph with the GraphEdit- I don't find in menus any way how to use it.
I would appreciate any hints or links.

And for all those who made this DD project possible-

GREAT JOB, THANK YOU!

Has anyone verified that the TBS DVB-S2 8920 does indeed support 8PSK in DVBDream? The chart doesn't indicate this. Card specs indicate it supports 8PSK.
Is this card not identical to the Prof DVB-S2 7300? This indicates 8PSK works on the compatibility chart.
Anyone tried the PCI-E version TBS DVB-S2 6920 ?

In several places online, it is said that DVBDream supports my PCI card, but when I run it - as soon as I start the card, DVBDream shuts down. Is this a problem with the driver or is this a problem with the codecs? In other software, bad codecs will cause this action, but generally when the program starts, not while starting the PCI card.

Also, does the software support Matchbox Pro in some way as I have never been able to get it to run properly with that USB device in the past.

Thanks for any replies on this.

Steve
