How to edit recorded videos?

Hi everyone.
Has I said on subject, I want to edit some videos that I recorded from HD channels. I can edit videos from SD channels.
I tried Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle, Camtasia, but no one of them open those videos.
I record a lot of things and I put it all on internet, all the time, but now I want to record it in HD.
Anyone can help me?
