Timeshift during a scheduled recording

Postby Rick » Sun Sep 13, 2015 9:56 am

HI, I've been evaluating DVB-D for the last 10days & I am really very happy with its functionality & performance. Can anyone tell me please, is it possible, part way through a programme recording which has been started by the scheduler, to start watching it from the beginning using Timeshift (or anything else for that matter)? I haven't been able to find a way. Regards, Rick

Hi,
it should be possible to open the active recording file with an external player like VLC. With help of that player, you could watch the recording from the start, while the file still increases in size. You can test the idea by installing Videolan(VLC) and going to record folder during a record.
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
