Freeze a second on recording

Postby techguy_techguy » Mon Oct 17, 2016 7:26 am

Hi.

How come when i do recording in DVBDream .ts file has approx a second of freeze at the start?
I split files after approx 5 minutes and everytime at the begining there is a freeze of video, but audio starts immediately. Video is h264.

DVB Dream just stops/start TS packets for each part.
It doesn't handle the frame start points. So If you need to combine those parts later in a video application, better to save them as big chunks instead of 5 minute parts. Or you can use a more basic application which does combine files. ("file joiner" google search)
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
