meaning/understanding message "signal losses"

Postby AW_dreamDVBdream » Thu Dec 14, 2017 4:08 am

info bar in DVBdream shows numbers of packet losses and signal losses.

What does "signal loss" mean? Who/what loses the signal?

Is it DVBdream.exe? Or is it the driver of the DVB-card? Or ist it bda.sys?

Where is the signal lost? Does this mean that the LNB does not deliver a signal anymore?

Does transmission after signal loss continue if the signal is coming back? Or is a restart of dvbdream necessary?

Signal loss happens in the antenna or over the cable. DVB Dream tries a 'come back' if signal appears. Some codecs/plugins and card drivers might cause problem this not to work stable. you would need retune to channel or reset device in File menu.
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
