Do you know that it's possible to stream more than one channnel?

If you open one or more PIP channels, you can switch between channels in VLC by menu > Navigation > Programme. However, video is not smooth here, I need to test it more though...

It works here...sort of.
It's just that it makes DVBD to hang after switching channels in VLC. Maybe there is something bad with my configuration...

EDIT:Definitely something wrong with my settings. It works OK now. Actually works great! [/u]

LAN Broadcasting with DVBDream and VLC :

Next step:
  • testing broadcasting on a Wireless network with the DG834G (WiFi 54Mbps)

    To be continued...

My VLC receives the stream, but i can't get any video or audio. The info gives me input data, but no decoded video or audio.

Anyone knows why?

Tested OK with DG834G or WG602 as transmitter and several WiFi receiver.

First at all, make a record and try to view it with VLC (open file)... If it works fine, try to modify buffer size in DD Lan Streaming panel.

As DD uses UDP streaming, there's no control of packets delivery so if some packets are lost, VLC can not display well the TS streaming from DD.

I found out the problem: I had no mpeg2 decoders on the PC with VLC. it should have, since i have powerdvd installed, but since there were some problems with my pc, i think the codecs were lost.

AFAIK, VLC is not a directshow player, so it doesn't need any external codecs.

As it was previously said VLC does not need extra codecs. Everything is already included in this marvelous software.

I don't know from where comes your problem but it seems that you have issues with codecs installation on your computer.

I write it once more, do not install Codecs Packs (such as K-Lite) they often create more problems than they solve them.
