Hello,
my suspicion is, that the contents of the transport stream is not the transport stream itself (it would explain the problems with scanning and recorded transport stream size). Rel told me to check next main driver release in 1.4i, so maybe the problem will be solved there (the original driver does not work either).

<speculation>
It is possible, that both drivers manifest different behaviour based on the same problem, there is some tuner interface pin with GUID {D0A67D65-08DF-4FEC-8533-E5B550410B85} ("BDA PID Filter Property Set" ), which I suspect sets the contents of the output stream on the BDA tuner (complete TS packet/PES payloads/PAT, PMT, CAT, Private/gathered TS packet payloads) and coresponding PIDs. Maybe this is also the reason why the device is listed twice?
</speculation>

Gigabyte GT-PTV-TAF-RH (Hybrid DVB-T/Analog, Philips SAA7131E) on WinXP x64+Intel GMA - working with BDA driver (tested in 1.4h & fixed 2.1.0 BDA2 driver)
AverTV Hybrid+FM Cardbus on WinXP+Intel GMA - working with ScanMan's BDA Driver (V108) in 1.4h and with FIXED BDA2 driver (2.1.0) in 1.4i

Leadtek WinFast DTV Dongle (DIB3000/6025 - driver 5.13.12.203) on WinXP - does not work with DVBDream

I am a newbie to DD and just experimenting at this point with it on my first HTPC. I have gotten a GeniaTech USB Satbox and it does work somewhat using the newest version of BDA that came with DD 1.4i. However, my set-up has a Diseqc with 4 satellites hence I can only use the first LNB on the first port (I realize that BDA has no or limited support for Diseqc for some devices ). The scan gave me some channels, but not all (am also using an FTA box). I also tried using Scanman's BDA-ALL latest version and I got the same results.

I am wondering if DD or Scanman have any plans to support a BDA driver with Diseqc capability for the Satbox in the future. Thanks.

Hello!

I have dvb-s2 card "Tevii s460". It wants to see support in dvbdream. At least DiSEqC worked. One can hope for this? Home manufacturer card: http://tevii.com

ps: sorry for bad english, this is computers translation. ;(

driver works with Nebula DigiTV USB

Postby todds » Thu Aug 21, 2008 6:20 am

Thanks,

This DD driver works with Nebula DigiTV USB, using Nebula's drivers.
Without this DD driver, the DVBDream worked, and could change channels within the pre-tuned multiplex, but could not change frequency/multiplex.

~~~
With this driver, all works fine except no audio on DVB radio stations (they work fine with other software).
~
That turned out not to be radio specifically, but to be one particular multiplex that happened to have lots of radio. It has somehow made itself OK now ~ maybe because I rescanned that multiplex, or ???
~~~

Despite other comments on the thread, I could only find the original download on the German DD forum, and had to register there.
~
Turns out that was because I was not rgistered when I first looked on this site. This can be confusing, as the comment about the downloaded file appeared, but the file itself did not.

Thank ScanMan very much for his BDA_ALL driver, which enabled use of DVB-S2 in DVBDream.
My system:
Omicom SkyStar4 DVB-S2
Dish on Rotor STAB HH 120
2 in 1 diseqc switch Golden-Interstar
multifeed Ku-Linear on LNB1, Ku-Curculiar on LNB2
With this driver BDA_ALL(1.03 to 1.08 ) DVB-S2 work fine, but rotor don't accept any diseqc command, like E0 31 6B 0A and can't positioning dish :(
Seting DiSEqCMode value to 1,2,3 in bda_all.ini has no result.
Original driver bda.dev work with rotor fine, but it can't tune DVB-S2.
Help me, please.
ps: sorry for bad english...

Testing with new Skystar HD2 (Mantis chipset) on XP:
- Can tune DVB-S channels without problems
- Can't tune 8PSK DVB-S2 but 16QAM works fine (8PSK probably needs different modulation type, tried changing INI file, but it gets overwritten with 23 everytime plugin is loaded)
- DisEqC doesn't work.
- Every time plugin is unloaded, I have to kill dream process.

I have been looking in MtsBda.sys with IDA and now have C code to send commands to this card and all others with Mantis chipset. If you are interested, drop me PM. There is about 50 undocumented commands in driver, will make list when I know what they do.

hello all, hello ScanMan
I'm have Skystar HD 2 on windows 7 (previous on vista) with DD 1.4i (tested it too with DD 1.5 beta 7) with all your BDA's from 1.0.5 to 1.1.1( the only i didn't found was the 1.0.9) and the best one working 100% is the 1.0.8, in all the other i found some problems, like DiSEqC problems, DD main window don't close until you click 3 or 4 times and then windows asks you what you want to do and you choose close program.
In vista and win7 i only found problems with the 1.0.8 by searching 3 transponders at astra 19.2 that made DD to crash down, wich i excluded from search and made the search later manualy only from these 3 tranponders with no problems.

Great Job
