The good news first:
- Lipsnyc will be best here now without need to change offset !
- Video is very fluid also.
There's a little 'but...':
Newly i have something like continiuos 'flickering' - looks like a short reset on DS. It's not choppy or stuttering...
Video returns immedeatly with no sound-offset.
While watching 'real' HD-channels, video-size is ok and fits into the window.
Channels with something like an up-scaled normal transmission (720x576 - e.g. german Pro7 and SAT1 in the afternoon), video is shifted out to the right side.
This couldn't be corrected with '*' on the num-pad and independent from used renderer.
Can somebody confirm this ?

Re: Experiences in DVB-S2 / H.264
what h.264 codecs have you tried?
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
CoreAVC H.264 (v1.5.0.0 - 24.08.2007) -> better !
CyberLink H.264 (PDVD7.x) (v1.99.0.125 - 07.02.2007)
InterVideo (v8.0.6.109 - 20.03.2007) also works but...
Codec ist marked red - why ?
Video ist very fluid but everything else than lipsync...
CPU-load always 100%. Machine reacts extrem slowly.

Some other observations:
VMR-9 is the badest choice here.
Has more CPU-load with same codec (Core) and is more like stuttering/choppy - also sound breaks for a short while.
Best choice (here) ist Overlay Mixer !
No probs on sound, lipsync and only those little flickering. CPU-load araound 80-85 with my AMD 4000+
The flickering:
it looks like the video ist stretched in great percentage only (!) in horizontal way for those short moments.
I can watch it best when having a video with a logo somewhere - that dissapears...
Everytime any crazy buffer has the meaning to reset himself (half the way... memory comes down from e.g. 170 to 140 MB) there are those (1 sec ?!) freezing periods.
Also following is noticeable when i rised brightness/contrast:
Normally the not fullfilled VideoWindow-Area is a little bit grey.
When flicker appears it's always dark/black - Video itself seems to have the same brightness/contrast.
... time's to short to have/give more details.
Hope this was helpful

thanks
yes, activate "Add to ROT" (in preferences/general) please
and check it if DD really uses Intervideo please. then it would be a surprise. it is the first time someone says "Intervideo works for h.264 video"
Then it doesn't work, pink (or red) means that codec/renderer isn't working, probably the next codec/renderer is used in this case.InterVideo (v8.0.6.109 - 20.03.2007) also works but...
Codec ist marked red - why ?

DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
It takes nearly an hour to have a graph visible in Graphedit....
With 'intervideo' as H.264-codec Machine is block nearly totally. Everything comes up with large delay and GE chrashes most of the time...
But at least i saw that CL is the working codec - as you told.
But visibility on the screen looks very crazy: Seems as brightness and contrast are absolutely overloaded. And CPU load ist steadily 100%.
This didn't happen in that way when i select CL directly.
