Twinhan 1034 Mantis CI and BDA107ALL

Postby kolo1 » Wed Oct 31, 2007 10:38 am

Twinhan 1034 Mantis CI and BDA107ALL driver doesn't start.
I get errorcode 1 when I try it. It's the same error with native BDA
in DD1.4 and DD 1.3c
BDAall106 works but doesn't support diseq 1-4
I use BDAConsole.exe to change sattellite. This console writes something to the registry and then the diseq switches. Have to do this everytime I change to another satelite with diseq 1-4 (Astra19,Hotbird13,Sirius5,Thor-Intelsat.0.8)

What's the version of your driver ? 1.0.5.9 ?
I use the same one and have big probs e.g. card is extremtly slow during DD-Start and change between TPs.

But nevertheless its working and will be recognized with 107 - BDA- native didn't recognized the card first time - i always have to restart it manually.

I didn't changed any fundamental things so the interface should work as before.

If DiSEqC wont work, make shure that "Always send DiSEqC commands" is checked in the preferences.

Otherwise post the BDA_ALL.LOG - don't make so much programm changes to blow up the list.

BDA107ALL and Twinhan

Postby kolo1 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 12:04 pm

I use driver 1.0.5.6 from 2007-04-29. Didn't know that there was a newer one....
As You say the native driver work if I restart it manually but the 107 never does. Perhaps the newer driver will do the trick.
Currently I use the 106 and that doesn't need a manually start.
Is it not possible to implement the function from BDAConsole.exe into BDA-driver or perhaps in DD ?
Have tryed RAW-comands to.
I attached a ZIP file with pictures of settings and BDA-console and two BDA-logs.

First to say: It is NOT neccessary to use any other tools, helpers or something else to run DD !

Please DO NOT USE anything like BDA-Console or something else what several people announce as the one and only lonely helpful thing to solve every prob's any-/no-where.....

rel's Native-Interfaces - also my BDA_ALL - works directly to Windows-BDA-Interface.
It's NOT neccessary to bring in helpers from manufacturer or any other 3rd-Party developer.

Please delete / don't use it. Could be poison for well working...

First to say: I don't have used any third party aplications to run DD.
The BDAconsole is on www.twinhan.com/download_driver&software.asp under
Other models 1034/2033/3028/3030 v1.030 (2006.05) so it's a Twinhan
aplication.
On top of this site it says that there is a driver for 1034 called:
AD-SP300(1034) V1.0.5.9 (2007 06 15) if I download this and install it
I can se that this is driver V1.0.4. Very Strange !!
The driver:AD-SP400(1041) V1.0.5.9 (2007 06 15) is also V1.0.4
The right version(V1.0.5.9) I found here:
http://www.digitalrise.biz/support/
Now Ican start with BDA107All but it is instable and crashes sometimes.
Attached a crash report.
On the other hand as long as it works it can switch my diseq 1-4 witch is very nice !!! Thank You ! However the switch to another sattellite take very long time and it's much faster with the console.

Keep up the good work ScanMan ! Thank You !

So... As BDAConsole is a Twinhan application and not an application related to DVB Dream, it can be considered as a third party application from DD's point of view

It is possible but Twinhan drivers and SDK is not so easy to get along with.
I think it sometimes annoys ScanMan (sometimes me too)

After fixing other problems, I will go over this problem.

I hope I don't make anyone angry here by telling how I solve a problem ?
If that's the case I APOLLOGISE ! It wasn't my intent.
I don't realy know Your rools in creating DD, I mean rel,FredB,ScanMan.
@FredB
Yes I think You are right, it's a third party application and we always need a third party (not always a aplication)to run DD because DD needs a reciever of some sort and the driver for that.

Thanks to all who makes DD it's a good prog.!

not you :) I meant that the device driver and its documentation/SDK is the annoying thing
