I use DVBDream with Windows Vista x64 SP1 with all updates up to date without problem :D

Image

I use DVBDream with codecs from PowerDVD 8:

Code: Select all

Video Codec.....: BxS_CL8 (v8.1.0.72 - 08-04-2008)
Audio Codec.....: BxS_CL8 (v6.1.8.7 - 27-03-2008)
H264 Codec......: BxS_CL8 (v2.1.0.233 - 21-04-2008)
Video Renderer..: Video Mixing Renderer 9
Audio Renderer..: Default DirectSound Device
To be honest, I was surprised how DVBDream worked so well with Win Vista 64bits ;-)

I have been having this crash issue as well I have finally narrowed it down to the channel favorites. If you don't add any channel to our favorites you don't get the crashes as soon as you do the crashes will not let you start the program without first removing your chlist.chl file or replacing it with a copy with no favorites. That's my experience.

Strange, I use favorite channels without problems.

partial solution :(

Postby toofunal » Sat Jun 14, 2008 3:05 am

I was using DVB Dream 14.i with NVidia Pure Codec 1.02.223

After Installing SP package when i tried to open app i didn't respond.
I uninstalled Nvidia Pure Codec.
I deleted chlist.chl and start program. (make a backup first)
I select a satallite from list and program opened as usual with black screen. I did'not search channels.
I changed my codecs to FFD.
And restored chlist.chl from backup.

It is about codec think becaus when there is no channel to render there is no problem.

But when i change my codec to FFD and restore chlist.chl there is not any not responding problem.

I can watch tv now as you see in screen shot

Also i'm getting error while changing my codecs :(

I titled reply as partial solution because when i want to exit program.

This is the error i'm gettin.

This is a progress for me :) at least i'm able to watch tv.
