Hi,
I'm using a fully registered version (v2.4b) and about 50% of the time when starting DVB Dream it comes up with the evaluation / unregistered message where I have to wait for a few seconds before the application starts. It then automatically dies after an hour.
The other 50% of the time, it works fine.
I'm using Windows 8.
Is this an known issue?
Kev.

Re: Windows 8 and "unregistered copy"
It sounds weird, if you dont need , try to disable UAC. and make sure any ant-spyware/anti-virus program doesnt interfere with DVB Dream. maybe something prevents DD to write to Windows Registry.
You might need to start DVB Dream with administrator rights each time. (right click on the icon, then "Run as Administrator")
If problem still continues, let me know your user ID in private message.

DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
Re: Windows 8 and "unregistered copy"
I have exactly the same problem with Windows 8.1
All I have to do is shut-down the app and restart and it's fine.
I will try running the program with administrator rights.
I'm running AVAST anti-virus and it is a pretty aggressive app.
I have tried removing DVB Dream and reinstalling, I'm running 2.6a but have had same problem with previous versions.

One licence per one computer is required. I have fixed the issue but be careful about multiple installations.

Re: Windows 8 and "unregistered copy"
Hi!
I recently encountered this problem.
In particular today, while DVBDream was starting up for a scheduled recording (and therefore it failed because of the "OK" button).
I am a licensed user and, despite having installed DVBDream with this same license on more than one PC, I have now uninstalled it on every PC except the main one, where the thing happened.
I'm using the latest version of DVBDream, 3.7.1.
How can I prevent this to happen again?
Thank you very much!
