Several times when scheduled recording should start, DD started correctly, channel switched too, but recording did not start.

I can't always reproduce this bug, but it happened several times.

To reproduce:

- create new scheduled task in DD
- restart computer
- wait until the task start
= DD is started, but recording doesn't start (probably always the first time after restart/PC start)

1a. now create new scheduled task to record actual (tuned) channel
1b. alternative - create new scheduled task to record the other (not tuned) channel
2. close DD
3. wait until the task start
= sometimes DD is started, but recording doesn't start
- repeat steps 1 -3 at least 5 times

I don't know why recording is not started sometimes, there is enough free space on disk, no other app is running. It doesn't matter if channel is scrambled or FTA.

It was working good before v1.7x.

i can confirm this issue is occuring with my DD installation too
using windows 7 x64 pro atm

If there are several recordings o the same channel (recordin 1 channell) if one of them fails following recordings fail as well.
Oddly if i click to start recording manually sometimes it starts and sometimes i need to click twice for it to start. (observed this problem like 5-6 times especially after sheduled record failed and wanted to start one manually)
Today i will try to wipe my DD completly (was an upgrade from 1.5x->1.6x->1.7x) and check if the situation will repeat itself.
Will also try alternative ways to setup sheduled recordings (with an alternative program instead of sheduler)

I too can confirm this is occurring. Some scheduled recordings work fine, others don't. But once a failing one fails, it will fail thereafter as well (even if edited, but haven't tested if I delete and re-add does it fail in that instance of DVBDream as well going forward).
Windows 7 x64 SP1

I noted that where scheduled task is to record more than one channel on a transponder, it is usually the 1st channel that isn't recorded.

Given the new security measures in place for licenses, I now can't go back to a working 1.5g installation as it states my perfectly valid, legal and paid for key isn't valid anymore.

This is a signfiicant regression. Please can you confirm acceptance/agreement of the fault and any time frame for resolution.

for now i have tested this pach with existing sheduled recordings (created with 1.6 and 1.7 versions)
some of those recordings ran ok while others were skipped (all recordings of single channel, some SD some HD)
I will wipe all existing recordings from sheduler and add new ones to see if this makes any difference
btw i don't clode DD betwen recordings, it's runin continously.

Performed a few iterations of scheduled recordings (all newly created) with patch installed. In all cases all channels across all instances of DVBDream and transponders etc worked. So for me, this patch appears to resolve the issue completely.

Many thanks for resolving the issue, and also the speed of response - very much appreciated.

you might have some another problem, please send your dvbdream.log and bda.log after unsuccessful scheduler attempts (take the log files from the dd folder without closing DD , while it is still running , because DD resets log file when restarted)

I've been testing for two days, old and new tasks and it looks OK. I'm not 100% sure it's fixed, therefore I didn't reply earlier. I'll be testing more and I'll reply here if any problem occurs.

Similar result as poppo today!

After old scheduled task - I'm not sure if immediately, after about 20 minutes - DD has crashed, DD window not responding, this page has opened:

http://www.dvbdream.org/warn.php ("You seem to use a CRACKED version ! ...")

No Eurekalog, just crash after app click:

After another DD start when I started recording, same results!

Edit: It looks this bug is not relating to scheduler, so I started a new topic.

all: please download v1.7a (if you are having crash problems, this is because of crack/security measures, modified exe casuses crack warning),
new download will fix the problems, I am removing the patch.
