madVR: Twice the screen offset

Postby Redeemer » Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:58 am

Thank you for adding support for madVR. However, there seems to be a bug:

It only works with free aspect ratio (AR) or if the channel's AR fits the AR of the box with the video in it (black box in main window, your screen in fullscreen or TV window in TV window mode). If not, the offset (X/Y position) of the video is twice of what it should be. For example, I have screen with an AR of 16:10 and a resultion of 1920x1200. Using madVR in fullscreen mode, this results in the following:
- For 16:9 channels, the video Y position is supposed to be at 60 (from the top), but is at 120. X position is fine.
- For 4:3 channels, the video X position is supposed to be at 160 (from the left), but is at 320. Y position is fine.
In other words, the left/top letterbox is twice the size of what it should be. However, the bottom/right letterbox is still normal, so a part that equals the size of the bottom/right letterbox gets clipped off the video.

Tested with: madVR v.0.86.11
(Maybe there is another version of madVR that works better?)

i have a 16:9 display 1920x1080 -very common-

i have ctrl-j on all the time

in full screen mode

for 4:3 channels the target rectangle is 240 0 1680 1080 so the picture is shifted by +240 pixels to the right

the target rectangle should have been 0 0 1440 1080

for 16:9 channels the target rectangle is 0 0 1920 1080 which is correct

target rectangle (madvr info on the left) shouldn't have been (0,0,1920,1080)?

Sorry but I cannot reproduce the problem here. on Windows 8.1 64 bit with the following codec configuration and the latest madVR version 0.87.14 as in the picture. I have tried other h264 codecs , still cant see your problem here. Maybe something hardware specific on your pc or your madVR settings is not default (you have changed something in madVR settings?)
Yes when in full screen Target rectangle should be so (your fullscreen width), otherwise it is different each time you resize the window. (it is the size of resized window piece except the black parts, where video is displayed)
1) What operating system and codecs do you use ?
2) Can you attach your settings.cfg and dvbdream.log files here? (from dvbdream root folder and logs folder)
3) Does it happen on all channels ? if not what type of channels and satellite/frequencies?
4) What is your video card ? nVidia ? AMD? or ?

uninstall maDVR, video ratio, still 21;9 ( I make, manual registry clean, for maDVR. )

Problem still continue.
