Can I ask you Rel a favour
I always use VMR7 to be working in overlay surface mode like in sonic registry setting VMRRendPrefs 0x2 to force overlay with it

But in all the 1.4 versions that makes me very happy with the stable timeshift usage without stuttering I can not use the overlay surface with VMR except for once when I rewind the timeshift or when I set reset DS after channel changes the overlay disappears and offscreen mode is switched on and HW deinterlacing feature is lost too
and this happened with all the combination of codecs mostly and all with SD channels Free less frequently and scambled always

So my request with deep please from me

If you can preconfigure the VMR7 and VMR9
to use windowed option with force overlay ,option for offscreen mode , option for renderless mode as for example that in Media Player Classic by Gabest
