I am not sure if DvbDream can handle Norwegian open live DVB-T broadcasts. In Norway, video is H.264/AVC and audio is HE-AAC/LATM...

(I believe New Zealand is also starting trials with this setup).

Can DvbDream handle live TV reception if I install the correct codecs (I have CoreAVC Pro and the freeware Monogram AAC codecs)??

If not please add this on your 'To Do' List!

I'm not sure, can you send some sample stream (recorded)?

How to capture a sample stream
1) Depending on the device you got there, you might first need to enable "Full TS" mode in device options restart DD
2) start "Stream Recorder" module on the problematic transponder, record about 100 mb
3) upload file to somewhere (FTP). If you dont have any FTP space, ask for FTP server via rreloc at yahoo.com

I cannot record a stream as I have not installed DvbDream... I try tonight I suppose. I was waiting to get confirmation it actually would work ;-))

I do have DVBViewer (oops sorry) if this could help (it works, they updated the program in December to handle the audio) but I was wondering about other programs.

Maybe this link can help you...

Hello from NZ

New Zealand has now gone live with free to air DVB-T broadcasting

The video is H.264/AVC and audio is HE-AAC/LATM EPG is MHEG-5
Resolution's vary between channels from 576i, 720p, 1080i all at 50Hz, with 720p and 1080i on the main channels

I can get live Video using PowerDVD 8 using
VIDEOCODECnn=CyberLink (PDVD8), {37991D68-42A3-40E3-8C05-037170E1A42A}

Unfortunately the HE-AAC live Audio eludes me inside DVB DREAM. I can get audio using the Monogram AAC codec using GBpvr.

samples of New Zealand TS samples are availible from
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?Fo ... icId=21069
which may be close to what Norway uses, apart from the MHEG5

thank you Rel
