Postby crazypotato » Thu Dec 14, 2006 2:42 pm

Dvbdream 1.3c hangs when starting on the secondary screen in a dual view setup.
VMR9 is the rendering mode in dvbdream.

I have no such problem. Starts on either screen fine. I start it on the 2d screen by leaving it on the second screen when I close it. It restarts on the same screen it was closed on.

Im using dualview from verry long rime and i dont have any problem with this.

Of course there is some codecs that dont works with second display .... but i know that : Nero, Cyberlink, Intervideo works fine .. im using Overlay Video Renderer and i know that Generic works too. VMR and VMR9 uses more CPU than Overlay so im not using it.
Its normal that some codecs cant work witch some renderers.
Another think is, why DVBDream Hangs in that isue ?

I think that can be a problem with Pure Video.

Of course there is fault of DVBDream that cant handle event when PureVideo dont want run on second display ....
But i think that the cause of that is in PureVideo, or maybe in 6600 features (maybe 6600 cant work with PureVideo on second screen).

Try to use another codecs.
For example FFdshow. I know that FFDShow are not ideal but you can try this to locate bug.

After that ... if its problem of PureVideo .. you can use another codecs ... egz. Bundled with your DVDrom, or twinhan, Cyberlink v6 codecs.

As you know ... there is no relocation at the moment (hehe ... he will be in few months back ;D)
So only solution for now .. you have to try another codecs . And not using Pure Video.
