DD does not remember the position of the dish (after being shut down) so I manually move it by using the Options/Positioner/Send command. After clicking on Send, the motor moves but DD becomes unstable and unresponsive and I have to kill it using task manager. This has happened every time. Does not happen with 1.3c.

I couldnt make it unstable here (can't reproduce)

If you move the motor in Renderless mode, does it happen again ?

I think you need DD to move to the satellite at start-up? You use different DD installations and other programs which could also move the dish? If so, an option might be added for that.

I think I found the problem. I inactivated simOSD and the problem went away. I am attaching the error log.

if the problem was just SimOSD, I guess we will need Fred to let Simoh know about the problem or someone else who knows French
new option in Positioner console
- Auto drive on startup (Options->Positioner->Options)

its maybe because of this:
1.4d notes: SkyStar2 will need Mibi's patched WDM drivers to be able to command diseqc switches and motors.

While using v1.4a-d, I had repeated crashes when the Positioner window was simply opened. Everytime it went like this: after the Positioner window was opened, even if I hadn't tried to move the dish, in 15-30 seconds it started to generate multiple exceptions. Eventually, it crashed DD if I wasn't fast enough to close the "Positioner" dialog. If it succeeded, DD won't crash.

Tried changing the driver from BDA_ALL 1.07 to BDA Streamreader 1.06 by BlackTr, wasn't helpful. The exception window contains some Delphi-like information like "Positioner.pas".
