DVBWORLD DVBS2 NO SIGNAL

Postby erbipjr » Fri Jun 27, 2008 3:44 am

I have post it once. I am opening a new one, especific for DVBWORLD S2 cards. I have noticed that DD does not work in DVBS2 mode with these cards. With official software I can tune S2 channels.
I have sent an email to DVBWORLD's support and got this answer:
From: "support" <support@worlddvb.com>
To: "Elber"
"can u ask the DVBDream author , we have send our samples to him!!" DVBWorld Technology Co,.LTDBest RegardsPeter
So I would like to know if DD will suppport these cards in S2 mode (DVBS works !) ?
When trying to tune S2 channels, there is no signal level. Maybe I am missing something, but have asked here and no answers.I have high signal level using official software.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm curious about this also. I have both the 2004pci and 2104 usb versions, neither will tune -s2 channels in DD.

DVBWORLD DVBS2 NO SIGNAL

Postby erbipjr » Sat Jun 28, 2008 4:16 am

I have tried ALTDVB and no signal on S2 channels too. With Progdvb Pro it is possible to tune these channels. So, to see S2 HD channels you have two options: Progdvb Pro and factory software. Mytheatre fails two, maybe because it does not have H264 support.

Hi starman. Which software you are using to see S2 HD channels ? My best results are using Coreavc H264 and Progdvb Pro.

I"ve been using Progdvb Pro and the Dvbworld software. Coreavc seems to work pretty well.

DVBWORLD DVB-S2 NO SIGNAL

Postby erbipjr » Mon Jul 07, 2008 9:47 am

Updating: DVBWorld USB DVBS2 2104 working with Progdvb PRO, DVBviewer and official software (both in DVBS2 mode).
In DVB-S mode, same apllications above plus DVBDream and Mytheatre.
DVBViewer is the only one capable of decoding AAC audio. (brazilian HD/H264 channels - AAC audio).

DVBWORLD DVBS2 NO SIGNAL

Postby erbipjr » Thu Jul 10, 2008 9:25 am

During this week I am reading posts about DVBS2 tunning problems. Some other card's models have the same problem: no dvb-s2 signal.
So, it is not DVBWorld's fault. It is a very good card. I am using it with no problem with DVBViewer.

Is there any changes regards tuning DVB-S2 channels with DVBDream? Having latest drivers from USB 2104 card manufacturer, (24.12.2008)howerer still no signal tunning. DVBS channels work fine, as always.

you can download the latest BDA device interface update from the forum
or wait for next version (fixed in v1.5)
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
