why my dvbdream 1.2e uses above 50% of cpu load?
i think this is a bug. The whole system is unstable while recording...
let me know if you need any info...

What device are you using? Is Full TS mode enabled? On all channels?

From forum rules:

"Add your hardware/card/OS info to your forum signature please."

BTW All SS2 revisions are 2, but there is r. 2.3 and 2.6.

i am using the B2C2 Direct device and recording in mpg.
In some channels cpu load is high (~40%) and in some other is huge(50%-100%).

I want to ask something else also, if i dont want my files to get splitted in 4gb, is it possible to change max file size to 0bytes? And can i record in renderless mode with no problem? Renderless mode gives more stability while recording.

Sorry for my bad english. I hope you understand what i want to say :D

Some channels are cpu load is big and in some other is huge.

What codec do you use? Try nVideo, or Sonic.

Perhaps you could try to enable Full TS mode or change device to SDK (both require DVB Dream restart). I had some problems with record too, on some channels, only with Direct device and only if Full TS mode was disabled.

I'm not sure if 0 works, but 50000 works good here, I think you can use also higher numbers, but this should be enough.

Renderless mode works the same as 'normal' mode, with lower CPU usage, but if you have other problem with output record, it won't help.

added the "while recording" part to subject.

I think it just happens while recording in MPG format. (TS will probably work fine for you) The same problem has been reported few times from a few users. I just cant find the source of problem (it works fine here)

Did you try to change "Prevent usage of more than one CPU" option?
Does it help ?

yes, 0 means "no split"

Thanks a lot for your help guys. It was really helpfull. Its weird but it doesnt doing it every time but just some times. I dont know why but it seams stable with Full TS mode now. Can i use full ts mode and still record on mpg? It has nothing to do with it ?
I use cyberlink codec for both audio and video.
I have always "prevent usage of more than one CPU" enabled.
Give me some time to work with it and i let you know how it will go.
Thanks again for your help :)

Maybe ,as I said, it work on some channels only.

Again, I had problems with recording if Full TS mode was disabled, on some channels only - random freezing, bad record - no picture/sound from some point... With Full TS mode enabled it works good - no freezing, no problems with record...

However, Full TS mode could cause some small scan problems, but mostly, if channels are found without names for example, if you scan again, it's OK.

Also SDK device should work fine, also scanning should work better.
