Won't start after Vista updates (des.dll workaround?)

Postby pendragon » Sun Apr 26, 2009 6:17 pm

DVB Dream fails to start after I updated Vista SP1. I run two copies on different devices and neither works now, but both worked before. There is no EurekaLog, just a dialog box saying: "dvbdream.exe has stopped working", with a request to stop the program or to check the internet and stop the program. Based on the details mentioning des.dll, I tried removing this file from the dvbdream folder. dvbdream complains about this when starting up, but starts and runs fine as far as I can tell.

Here is the text provided by the dialog box:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

thats weird, I will try to include an unpacked (uncompressed) version of des.dll
in next versions to handle this
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
