So I tried the same channel with the Skystar 2, since it's a HD but not DVB-S2 channel.

With Skystar HD2 I have a crash every 1-2 hours, sometimes picture glitches and audio/video sync problems, even more than a second.

With Skystar 2, same DD version, absolutely the same configuration, codecs, renderers, settings, channel and no such problems!!?

I need to test more, but it's really weird! I hope the HW is OK, but where is the problem then?? :o

Crash after 7 minutes with 1.5e.

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
I googled "Problem Event Name: APPCRASH" and it seems this event happens not only to Microsoft programs, but other software programs.

There is no single reason for this event, but a number of reasons...like a virus, drivers/programs not updated, etc.

But, I did come across an interesting Microsoft support article:

Article ID: 928228 - Last Review: March 15, 2007 - Revision: 1.7

How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker (SFC.exe) program generates in Windows Vista
...
...
...
You can use the SFC.exe program to help you troubleshoot crashes that occur in the user mode part of Windows Vista. These crashes may be related to missing or damaged operating system files.

The SFC.exe program performs the following operations:

* It verifies that non-configurable Windows Vista system files have not changed. Also, it verifies that these files match the operating system's definition of which files are expected to be installed on the computer.

* It repairs non-configurable Windows Vista system files, when it is possible.
