Ive had an intermittent problem withh DD. When my PC has been switched on for a while (1-2days) and I try and run DD, I get an error message before DD loads - "Missing File. DD can not find "des.dll". you might need to reinstall DD." The program loads, but I am only able to see free to air programs. If I reboot my machine, DD works fine for a day or so and then I get the same problem. I have tried reinstalling DD, but no difference

I am running
- Pentium Dual Processor 3ghz and 2 gig Ram (set to use one processor)
- Windows XP Media Edition
- DD version 1.4h ( same problem from about v1.4)
- B2C2 Direct on Driver v4.2.2 (same problem with version 4.2.3 and 4.2.4)

are u try with clear install

u can keep \plugins folder

Thanks for you reply, yes I have tried a complete reinstall - manually deleteing all folders after uninstalling,

it should be antivirus , or any protection software. it is a compressed DLL, so some softwares think it is malicious and they delete the file after installation

Have the same problem. I'm tired already ( it's very annoying.
TT S2 3200/Windows 7 x64/ DD v1.4i p1 (I have tried 1.5 too, same problem)

I have tried different DD versions with clean installs. des.dll file exists in DD folder, antivirus software was unloaded.
But problem exist with all encrypted channels, open air still works fine with this error .

Seems to be that problem appears after hibernation.

Same here, it happened after few weeks of running DD 1.5f without problems, after PC restart it's OK and the file is there, without re-installation. I haven't installed any new SW and it happened also in previous versions, randomly. Very strange...

This error: Missing file. DD can not find "des.dll".

Des.dll is not deleted by antivirus, it's still there in dvbdream folder, but still, that error appear.
Back to 1.5e for me fixed this issue

No need to reinstall the program, just restart computer. This bug is random and it's in previous versions of DD too.

this bug is random, true, but is always there in v1.5f, even after startup, restart, uninstall( delete registry) and install again.

It would be very nice to fix this problem. My server only reboots once a month. I am definitely not going to reboot the entire machine just because of dvbdream. Maybe the problem can be debugged by the creators of DVB Dream to see what circumstances is causing this and actually fix or prevent the problem.
