DvbDream + pip + csc 4.0.0.2?

Postby radian » Tue Mar 27, 2007 12:02 pm

Hi!
I’d like to record several coded channels simultaneously using pip function and plugin CSC 4.0.0.2 (or wincsc), using several accounts on cardsharing server. Initially I hoped I’ll put several files csc.ini with settings for each account into folders
Dvbdream\plugins\pip01
Dvbdream\plugins\pip02
Dvbdream\plugins\pip03
…………………………
and so on, so each channel would use its own account on server. But now I’ve found out, DVBDream doesn’t decode channels without the file csc.ini in its root folder also, all settings are taken from this file.
Is it really impossible to have different settings (login and password ) for each pip channel?
Thanks

This is not due to DVB Dream.

CSC.DLL can only use one CSC.INI file located in the root folder of the DVB-S software.

But, I'm pleased to tell you, that there's a way to do what you want...

Just replace CSC.DLL in each PIP folder by WinCSC, configure each WINCSC.cfg file in each PIP folder and everything gonna be alright

I use this trick to display or record PIP with my CanalSat France subscription card which is read by a Phoenix smartcard reader handled by NewCS.

Really, wincsc seems to work all right. Thanks for the swift and useful replay, FredB!
