sorry for my english:
i have a problem with streaming function..when i restart windows(vista) i cannot streaming the audio with vlc.
i discovered the problem is the setting file corrupted

now i post the 2 setting file

it is working fine here with your corrupted settings file?

does the channel(s) you tried have more than one audio pid (multilingual)?

the problem is with all channels.

exemple: i use right setting file and i can stream to vlc all channels...if i use the corrupted file i can stream to vlc only video and not audio

have you tried a clean install of v1.4h? (without using the old files from the old version)
somehow something on your vista system might be corrupting your configuration file. (that sounds weird)

i discovered the problem...mediaset channels don't work...can you try in italia1(italia1) canale5(canalecinque) retequattro(rete4) ?these channel have two audio pid but both don't work in vlc streaming

Okay just do these steps in order :)

1- get on the channel you want on DD ---->channel properties ----->from Audio pid Delete the one you don't need by clicking on (-).(JUST LEAVE ONE AUDIO PID).

2- get on VLC ----> Audio ---->Audio Track----> then choose the language you did choose on DD

TRY THESE STEPS AND TELL ME WHAT YOU GOT :D

I have just tried.
I think VLC doesn't like the stream broadcast format on that transponder (f Canal 5, Retequattro, Italia 1) You will need report this to VLC authors. (with a recorded TS file for them to test with)

alternative: try MPC (Media Player Classic)
