... so here it is: Version 1.06

I tried to speed it up a little bit so that there should be no more stuttering on 'normal' programms.
DVB-S2 seems to have a little prob with displaying an synchronising video and audio. This is a prob of DD - this didnt depent on the interface.

Also some cards (Hauppauge NOVA-S2) won't tune to DVB-S2 programms.
There must be a special handling to tune those cards and i havn't any clue/info yet...

So everybody can try out this version and let me know the millions of other bugs Embarassed

DD not running. Copied two new files to DD Devices folder. Started DD, went to Options --> Device, selected new ScanMan driver, hit Start, OK, then exited DD. Upon restart of DD, I am suddenly looking at my computer BIOS's powerup self test. Shocked Am I doing something wrong, or is this just W2K which is otherwise ultra stable and runs for weeks without a problem? I seem to be the only tester around here with this symptom. Possibly the last holdout on W2K in NA.

My BDA_ALL.LOG has (other than comments) only four lines in it:

[MAIN]
CreateLog=Yes
AddGraphToROT=YES
LoadTHCIParser=NO

I do note some initial errors from BDA.LOG:

[09/29/07 16:30:13 : 2875] IOCTL Error: THBDA_IOCTL_SET_REG_PARAMS failed!
[09/29/07 16:30:13 : 2875] THBDA_IOCTL_SET_REG_PARAMS_Fun() does not work on this device.

It then says Lock failed! and goes on with about 30 lines of DeviceGetList() commands. Then that file ends also.

No, you're not the only one Wink

I had the same issue with previous releases and also encounter it with this new release when using my Twinhan V1030A.

Here is what ScanMan answered to me on DD German forum, when I've notified this issue.

ScanMan wrote:
Hi Fred,
seems to be an error specially with TwinHan cards.
Some other reported also probs with it.
I' ll try to fix it soon.

Notice that this card runs fine with native DD BDA-S device interface.

This new release run fines (as previous releases did) with my Terratec Cinergy 1200 DVB-S. I haven't tested it with my Pinnacle PCTV 450i (PCTV Sat Pro PCI) yet.

A member of forum PCTVSat have also reported that his TT S2-3650 USB card runs fine on Astra 19.2°E with this release (he hasn't tested any previous releases), but as he only have one LNB he could not test DiseqC functions.

I've run tests for you (but at first for me!) with DVB Dream and ScanMan's 1.06 BDA_ALL device interface on my external USB Technotrend S-3650. The OS used was Windows Vista.

It runs very fine (Astra 1A-H).

I tried this with my New Twinhan Mantis AD-SP 400 card and it doesn't work at all. Driver loads ok no errors Actually I do see signal strength and quality when I scan but it doesn't find any channels even on first port. I also tried it with my Twinhan 1027 card that has no improvement over regular drivers already in DD. I can watch TV and I can scan the first port on my disqec swith which is a very nice CHIETA switch which works perfectly in mt.

What are the Raw commands for all four ports on Disqec Switch? I only see one in the program which I assume is for port 1
E0 31 6B 01

but what about the other 3 ports how do I send those commands?

Also which channels are DVB-S2 channels?

I'm using disqec 1.0-2.0 lof 11250000 sw 11700000 lof 11250000 and have sats on

port1=82
port2=91
port3=110
port4=119

Tested with my Artec T14BR usb dvb-t device. Seems to be working otherwise ok, but signal Level reported at the bottom of the mainscreen stays at 0%. Quality is 100%.

If you use a RAW command, do the DISEQC parameteres such as LOF1,2 and LOF SW change?
I am using 11250000,0,11250000 right now and can't the DISEQC to switch birds with the raw command.

Thanks

Some people reported a crash when DD (1.3 and 1.4) starts without any BDA-Driver/-Hardware installed.
I can reproduce this error and fixed the prob. Please try/test latest version 1.07 in attachment.

If somebody's looking at the LOG and it will report any errors like
- THBDA_IOCTL_SET_REG_PARAMS failed!
- THBDA_IOCTL_SET_REG_PARAMS_Fun() does not work on this device.
- ... or any other notice begins with THBDA_...
this behavior belongs to the type of driver used with the TH.
This is a 'test' and is only needfull if there's a TH with CI is installed.
Driver will work quite normal and this has NO AFFECT in normal using !

If you are using TH and have a MultiSwitch / MonoBlock or any other DiSEqC-Switches it is neccessary to tick 'Always send DiSEqC' with a repitition-rate of min. 1 !
Otherwise adequate information will not reach the card !

Users with special switches have to try Un-/commited setup in DiSEqC.

An other prob here with my TH 1041 / AD-SP 400:
The actual driver 1.0.5.9 is extremly slow - startup takes several seconds - also switching channels on different TPs.
With rel's BDA-Native-Interface the card will not be recognized first time - it needs to be started manualy every time... Can somebody confirm this behavior ?

Confused ScanMan

EDIT:
There's a prob having both BDA-Native and BDA_ALL started at the same time in V 1.4 and maybe switching between them. End's up in a crash and/or DD couldn't be cloed anyway.
Seems to be fixed also with this release ! I don't have probs anymore...

ScanMan, thanks for BDA_ALL. Works here (StarBox 7021A) without a scratch, switching the ports of a diseqc switch. Will try to perform some tests with BDA_ALL and a motorised dish a bit later.

Yes, scanman with 1041 I have the problems you saida bit slow on starting and the freeze on exit resolves itself closing the application. The swicthing channel is quite fast but sometimes I have to reselect the channel in order to have a image (sometimes I have a freeze image on old channel that normally go away after some second). For rel native driver I think it was as you said there was to start manually the device but as I remember it freezed and not really worked neither in manually.
I tried with dba all 1.0.7 driver installed and rel native driver (I use DD 1.4d) I started the native device and IT freeze (close app needed to exit the freeze).
But just tell me if you want me to test it again Wink
Hoping being helpful, bye.
