There is random timeshift stuttering at all channels (FTA and scrambled).

Known bug, but I didn't find any official topic about it, so I have vreated new topic.

Hi,

I have the same problem.
I already tried several video/audio codecs but that didn't help.
My CPU-usage is at ~50%, so this is not the problem, too...

I set the timeshift buffer to 800 MB, located in main memory.

I hope this bug can be fixed, its the only thing that I dont like in this software ;)

Does changing the process priority of DD affect the frequency of the timeshift stuttering? Also, what is the overall commit charge of ram on all running processes?

Hi all!
I found the same problem with DD. I gave 500 MB RAM to timeshift, and whenever I jump back, the content start to stutter. When the content has fast frame changes, then it becomes worse.

I hope that you guys will find out where is the bug.

Bye

I tried few different codecs, overlay and vmr9 renderers, normal, high, and real time priority, FTA and scrambled channels, CPU usage is about 25%, DD usage is 10-20%, Total commit charge is 928404 K, DD's 212600 K.

Has anyone noticed that when using HD buffering, when the buffer is full you can't rewind or fast-forward anymore, you can only go to the beginning and the end?

Makes timeshifting completely useless.

This bug is still not fixed, but there is a workaround from version 1.5c.

Start recording in DVB Dream and open recorded file in VLC while recording. Now you can pause, forward and rewind as with timeshift.

Tested a bit, looks fixed, great work, Rel, thank you, hope also the controls and navigation will be improved later.

Of course, it needs more testing...
