SS2 on Vista Ultimate x64?
I have 4GB of RAM and Vista 32-bit only sees 3GB. My card is the Skystar2. I was thinking about upgrading to x64, but there's no point if my hardware won't work. I know there are x64 drivers for the SS2. Is DVBDream compatible with it? Anyone have personal experience with Vista Ultimate x64+DVBDream...

BDA drivers
Are you sure? There should be in the card config window to set it to use the BDA driver. I have a SkyStar2 installed in Vista 32-bit using BDA drivers v4.4.1 and DVBDream seems to work fine with it.

The EPG issue could, in theory, be remedied also. For example, MCE's implementation of ATSC channels in the Guide is a bit of a hack - it maps digital channels to their analog equivalents. For this reason, digital subchannels have no Guide data at all. To remedy this, some people are using 3 program...

MCE does have a nice interface. I've never really tried DVBdream's PVR interface because remote support is "dirty" as you've said, but the PVR functionality in MCE is excellent. True, it would probably be simpler to provide a smoother GUI rather than interfacing with MCE, but I also feel like a seam...

If you want it to run within MCE itself, that would require a completely new app. MCE doesn't support anything but BDA drivers, and it doesn't support controlling a switch even through a BDA driver. I don't know if it's even possible, but I've fantasized about an app that perhaps runs as a service. ...

Reset device on resume
When I shut off my PC via remote or front panel button, it goes into S3 Suspend. When I turn it back on, DVB Dream is still running, but the screen is blank. It's possible to restore DD operation simply by going to File/Reset Device. A nice feature would be if DD can automatically Reset Device upon ...

Microsoft eHome (Media Center) remote compatbility
I use MCE for all terrestrial TV, DVD/music playback, etc. and it would be nice to be able to use this same remote to control DD. I have never seen any API or SDK for using the MCE remote outside of MCE so I don't even know if this is practical to do, but I would be thrilled if this support could be...

Video preference horizontal and vertical zoom together
I envision there could be a checkbox below the sliders in Video prefs with label "Preserve aspect ratio" (or something of similar meaning). When checked, moving one slider moves the other exactly the same amount. If unchecked, then they can move independently. Although not really an interesting feat...

Auto zoom letterboxed content
A very cool feature I would LOVE is AUTO ZOOM on letterboxed content. My old plasma TV had this feature on its S-Video input and it worked great for a standalone sat receiver. Now I am using DVI with a PC to my plasma and this feature is not available via DVI input. The TV was 16:9 widescreen, but m...
