I experience jitter and dropped frames only upon switching to full screen mode. Has anyone else encountered this, and fixed it?

What happened to the "Dropped Frames" display?
What happened to the "dropped frames" count, and other indicators that were on the lower screen display of 1.4d? The "new" 1.4d doesn't contain these items. I know I'm vague here, but the update was so fast, I never really got to look into it. I tried reinstalling the original 1.4d, but couldn't get...
