Re: Sound but no picture

It's a video codec issue... you need to play around with different codec combinations till you find
one that works best for your system.

Re: Windows 8 preview and DvbDream 1.7a

Still have the same problem Here is my setup, I don't like using VMR9 or VMR7 (sorry about my snobbishness in that matter - i should test it though and see if the problem goes away, will follow up) http://s13.postimage.org/6aqyy4uz9/image.png Just stops responding when changing from fullscreen to ap...

Re: Windows 8 preview and DvbDream 1.7a

still the same issue, but...

Doing a <CTRL-W> and quickly following that up by getting out of fullscreen can prevent the app from crashing, if you need to go back to the channel bar on the left to change channel its a trick that seems to work if timed right.

Re: Windows 8 preview and DvbDream 1.7a

Let me try this another way, anyone running windows 8 that can jump in and out of full screen without hanging dvbdream 1.7a? (btw I am using a skywalker-1 but I don't think that makes a difference with this specific problem. (and yes the Vista/Win 7 drivers and device for SW-1 work just fine in wind...

Windows 8 preview and DvbDream 1.7a

Hi guys, Just running the preview of Windows 8. 1.7a works, but when I go full screen and try to return, on the return the app hangs, and then becomes non responsive. Is this a Windows 8 problem or my hardware combo? Thinking of downgrading to windows 7, but kind of like the speed of 8 so if anyone ...

Re: DvbDream crashes alot. dvbdream 1.7a

Okay will do so next time. What I did in the meantime is run a codec tweaker, this allowed me to see what codecs and filters are installed under my system. I turned all of them off, and then restarted dvbdream with codec errors. Could not even get it to run with microsoft codecs, etc.... ran the cod...

Propper save of settings.

One of the things that frustrates me about dvbdream is that it does not seem to save settings when you change them, or hit apply. It only seems to do it when it is closed. This is frustrating because sometimes you can have it on for hours, and when it crashes, all the settings get restored to a prev...

larger dish is your best bet.

You have to understand that dvbdream is just an app that marries decoders of your choosing so that you can use your hardware.

When you have a garbage signal, it tends to throw decoders for a curve, some don't like it and will crash DD.

Go to Prefrences->LAN Streaming Make sure its active. If you want to stream directly to another device, put in its IP address. I get this too, the way to get it back to normal, and not go epeleptic, is to CTRL-W, a couple of times in a row. It resets the decoder, I believe.

If someone figures out the fix for this I would like to hear it too.

rel, this is a great application, I am more than happy to support you if you can get this thing to stream to another pc on the net. I have a feeling I am not the only one. I think you have done a great job with this ap, so much so that i have stayed away from others because of its ease of use. You h...

I will buy a few of these if you can integrate DVBdream with WMC, the way it does now with VLC. I like the fact I can configure and scan my sats with the dream and use dvblink to do this, but the integration is clunky, and if you can natively take advantage of Widnows HD revolution by integrating wi...

You can use the Windows 7 Codecs natively in DvbDReam without the need for dvbLink by following the instructions in this post: ----> http://www.dvbdream.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2476 (You just have to add a few lines and increment numbers logicaly in your codecs.ini and you should be okay.) Hope th...

Re: How can I get help???

This is really sad. It's hard to believe there is not one person in this world who uses DVB dream (developer or user) that knows if more than one USB DVB-S2 device will work on the same PC (same model). Will technotrend 3600 series do it? I even emailed the developers directly (same people who acce...
