i have p4 3.0ghz and i can't see fluid movie. so must be your video card that speed up the h.264.
i have sapphire 9550, and seems that yours, unlike mine, has h.264 hardware support, so use less cpu..
anybody know anything about it?

probably some plugin that interact in the bad way..
anyway the aim of the thread was to find a way to reset ss2 without pc reboot.

Often happen that program crash (sometimes just random, sometimes when i go to option-->video, sometimes when i start the program..), so i click on restart button and when it restart the ss2 seems just to hang.. i change channel but signal and quality stay at 0%. So i need to reboot pc to get it fix...

your x1650Pro have h264 hardware decoder.. that's why you probably have good quality..

i registered with regsvr32 and now i can see it listed in h264 decoder under options-->video. But if i select it, and i try to watch "Suisse HD" on hotbird, i can't see anything, and the second bar (the blue one) fills fast and begin from start and so on. While if i use CoreAvc, i can see the channe...

where should that file be placed? i placed in dvbdream root directoy but in options-->video, it doesn't list arcsoft decoder..

well, ok, you have 5600... i have 3000.. so i guess the bottleneck is cpu. maybe with more ram... actually i have 1GB, would change anything with 2GB?

i get 89-90% of CPU usage now, but i still get skipping images.. it gets more fluid if i choose "video mixing render" instead of "video mixing render 9", but it's not yet fluid..

where can i get them?

yes, me too.. as you can see in http://www.dvbdream.org/forum/viewtopic ... a7e5caeabf thread i tried different solutions and i still have 100%, buffer grows fast and image is not fluid.

with both cyberlink and coreAVC cpu runs at 100%
