1) How to get channel icons

2) Any possible way to invoke DVBEPG from the mouse ?

3) Any possible way to directly change channel from EPG rather than
going to that second screen with "watch now", "record now", etc

you don't need to reset device. Try to check "rebuild Graph upon channel change" instead. Or something like this (I don't remember the exact name of this option in Video config)..
