Topic: Can't play SOME h.264 recordings in MPC but others work?

Why bother with all that junk though? Just use mpeg2repair and re-output the file. The only reason why you can't get some to play is because the player likely doesn't know what PIDs to look for.

Did you mean to type, VLC (as opposed to VMC)? If that is the case, then yes and no. VLC will play back progressive h.264 content without issue. Interlaced stuff will crash it however. MPC will play any/all files providing you have an h264 codec mapped to it for playback purposes. As a stand alone p...

Reading your post more carefully, I have to add two things. #1 - I'm viewing everything on a monitor that is set to 1920x1200 resolution, so if the source and content aren't 16:9, then I will see cropping no matter what. #2 - I never mess with my window size or AR ratio of my display, I want everyth...

-Dreamer writes- Again, my suggestion is not just change to correct AR, but also change the AR of the window, that's all. -me- The "AR" of my window never changes for any of the screenshots I did. If I look at your latest sceenshots, you changed the physical window sizes to "compensate" for the type...

DN looks great on my 1000.2 dish connected to my ViP622 receiver. I guess if you're unhappy with the picture quality, than you should pursue a different endeavor. I will admit, however, that everything is interpreted by the individual differently.

If the display you're projecting this on is widescreen, then NO MATTER what you do, in order to display it correctly - you have to have cropping on all four sides if the source is 4:3 (which yours is). If the display you have is fullscreen, then you will see cropping top/bottom no matter what the br...

Right, just as I suggested, its not an HD 1.78 AR feed, therefore, despite it being ws format, it "should" be cropped top/bottom/left/right since the broadcast resolution is 1.33 AR, not 1.78. What you're seeing, in your 2nd picture, should be the proper way to display that content natively if you c...

OK, so launch task scheduler (run as ... "tasks")

Once its launched follow the wizard. (pictures provided)

Notice that there will be two instances of the program when all is done. That's because DD natively uses task scheduler itself.

...it looks like your second image is the one that is actually correct. If the broadcast is 4:3 AR, but the source is 16:9... But the broadcast AND the source is 16:9! "Keep Aspect Ration (VMR)" option can detect it, but I need to automatically change also the AR of the TV window - and the fullscre...

yes it seems to be a lock problem. i just tried to schedule a record when i have already open the program and locked the channel.. But i dont understand the solution you gave.. ? There is likely an easier way to do this, however a 'simple' remedy is to: Say you have SID 800 set to record on satelli...

Nahhh ... nu USALS with latest version. You have to still do what REL stated in that you have to store positions in the motor. It does work, its just very slow. But, it does work once you lock on a bird and store the position. Getting sat to move to other birds when changing channels doesn't work ve...
