although the problem still persists in vlc the current version of Media Player Classic is able to play the stream well without freezing frames on some channels.

I'm suffering from the exact same problem.

- not all channels stream. (I haven't found anything which these channels have in common)
- stream plays in a previous/old version from VLC, but no audio.

Did some testing and this showed that it was not only related to subscription channels, but also other channels.

With this. I found this thread which desbribed the problem and also has the solution.
