Overlay question (re-recording recorded material?)
Is it possible to re-record previously recorded material using overlay on DVBDream? I read that you could re-record using overlay somewhere on the 'net, forgot where! My version is 1.4i, and it works well, no crashes. However, I'm using VMR9 as the video renderer, tried re-recording an MPG I recorde...

Recording even if PC is off
I want to tape a programme at 8:35am GMT - UK time, but I don't want to switch the PC on. How do I schedule a programme and allow it to tape without the PC being on, or is this not possible? I am aware you can schedule for some scheduled tasks to be done when the PC is off, but not sure if it can be...

Installation of codecs
I've re-installed this and had to reposition the aerial to get a better signal. I'm wondering, how do you install codecs on this and get them to show up in the list? Microsoft's default, nor do DivX show up in the list - and how do I get them to? I'm new to adding codecs to this... any help is appre...

Squares on screen - what do they mean
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/1993/psdshow.jpg
In the image linked to above I've noticed squares on screen, I have FFDShow codecs set, is this due to them?
I noticed these today, and haven't seen them before now... why is this?

Recording even when PC is off
I'm using Windows Vista Home Edition, and currently schedule recordings via the Scheduler. Can you set programmes in the scheduler, then allow them to record, even if the PC is physically switched off? (and DVBDream not running as well!) The reason I ask is, that, sometimes I'm out all day and don't...

Deinterlacing with "bob" in it - anyone know any g
I use DVBDream on Windows Vista Home Edition with NVIDIA 9500GT, mainly as a recording device. However, the video always comes out looking different, and not deinterlaced as I want it to be. My codec options in 1.4i are: InterVideo FFDShow Cyberlink Microsoft MPEG-2 Encoder Elecard 3.x but I'm not s...

Recordings come out different size
I'm watching Freeview via DVB-T on Windows Vista Home Edition. Usually it records well... but when I recorded it as an MPEG tonight it came out looking a bit stretched - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Aspect_ratio_4_3_example.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2c/Aspect_rat...
