Has anyone verified that the TBS DVB-S2 8920 does indeed support 8PSK in DVBDream? The chart doesn't indicate this. Card specs indicate it supports 8PSK. Is this card not identical to the Prof DVB-S2 7300? This indicates 8PSK works on the compatibility chart. Anyone tried the PCI-E version TBS DVB-S...

This is happening quite a lot. I don't know if everyone is experiencing this but everyone I know using DVBDream1.4 and DVBEPG is having this trouble. This effects Echostar signals. There are also channels that show up as 1002 and 1008 in place of the satellite. This is related to satellite name info...

I get the virus warning as well. My virus definitions are updated daily.
AVG
definitions 269.21.2/1305 from 2/29/2008

I told AVG to heal the file, which it completed.
The warning no longer shows. But the file was removed from the DD folder. Now I can't record.

Installed 1.4G on top of F, all good. Been running for about 10 hours, plugins and modules as I see fit, running DVBEPG, my choice of codecs, no jitter, no losses, a few resets, smooth as glass. Favorite audio channels are working too. I could not get 1.4F and DVBEPG to play nice no matter what I tr...

Remember that if there is more than one channel on a given transponder, like that from every direct to home service, recording a TS is recording everything at once. You will need a means of breaking out the piece you want, thus the TS splitter. You won't find any player that works, unless it can spl...

It's actually commonplace. The satellite stream MPEG2 doesn't always have time synchronizing and time stamps. I (and most everyone looking at the same signals) have had recordings with audio sync problems, field reversals, corrupt AC3 data, and all sorts of issues. If you try dropping a DVB MPEG rec...

I don't know. Same codecs and settings I always use. Double checked. Reinstalled into new folder. 1.3 ran quite well, would run for days, even weeks with no trouble. The first few 1.4 releases worked alright. The last two have been unusable for me. Maybe it's my hardware arguing with the latest ddso...

1.4x doesn't remember aspect ratio settings

A-F, I right click the video area, select 4:3.
On next start it's set to stretch.

1.4F always crashes on channel change and audio channels

I've been experimenting as we go along with 1.4.

1.4E was a little unstable, crashing sometimes.

1.4F is very very crashy, and always crashes when trying to listen to most audio channels from dishn**.

Tried re-installing.

1.4 Error after Update All

In channel properties whenever I select Update All, the please wait message comes up followed by an error. After OKing the error a time or two DD1.4 comes back, I can cancel the channel properties window, but the please wait message will not go away. http://img250.imageshack.us/img250/1852/logtr3.gif

Hi res 4:4:4 Jpeg is no worse, if not better, than MPEG2 video.
On an HD channel perhaps. Maybe settings for level of compression of the Jpeg would be a good option.
I agree, a lossless image format would be nice, but the video content is already a lossy format.

I generally have no trouble with MPG recording. I use Womble MPEG VCR to edit and/or fix files. I can't say enough good things about that application. Does it play in other players? Winamp? Playback in DD? I find DD actually makes a pretty nice MPEG player. Set the recorded file size bigger than 4 G.
