Thanks saentist. I enabled those codecs you specified...they were disabled. I also downloaded AC3Filter. Restarted my computer, still "red"ed out in DVBDream. Any other suggestions?

That was it! I had re-installed DirectX 9 before and it didn't change, but after I reinstalled the Elecard codec, things are as good as new!

Tried VMR with 4:2:0 feeds and it works, but it won't work with 4:2:2. Overlay and Generic work with 4:2:2 though.

When I try to use the video mixing render option in the Video menu, I get a blank screen and no video. Overlay mixing renderer and Generic mixing renderer does work. I prefer VMR over any of them (including VMR9) because the video is much smoother on my system and uses a LOT less resources than Over...
