2 instances and 2 installations are different terms. You need to install DD to 2 different folders, you may use the same channel list and plugins.

Remote works here in Twinhan mode, in the Supported Devices topic it's "RC works?: not tested". So it might be changed in the original Supported Devices topic.

I'm not sure if it's possible to solve this, I need the access to the files from VLC while recording, it's the workaround to timeshift and it's working good.

The workaround for the problem is to set the recycle bin to ask before delete and move to bin, not delete the files.
