can you check if it is really usinh Nero h.264 ? You should see it in "Active DirectShow filters" list. (DS might have replaced your codec selection with Cyberlink H.264)

only thing I can say "DVD compatible" is packet size. (2048 bytes) I think you would need some extra processing on the file to get a clean mpeg file but not sure, try it with the dvd-burning softwares you use. heh, you have a 22 khz tone switch probably (might be built-in on LNBs) or it is somehow interfering the diseqc switch/LNBs when it is "controlled by LNB". glad to hear you fixed it

i'm having same result on my tests with overlay, it might be optional in next versions, use VMR or VMR9 until that .

DSS is a different story, its standards are different and it is complex enough to support DVB and DSS at the same time for a simple DVB viewer. and it has limited usage (just few providers, probably in 3 countries)

What DVB-S card are you using? I had the same issue in the past but we need a little more information as to what you are using to get the signal.
