Hi everybody. At least I hope I can find help here. I have installed both DVB-Dream & VLC-Player on my PC. When I wanna stream DVB-Dream on VLC everything is OK, BUT the image which is shown on VLC is blurring and without any sound. Like the image below.
Can anybody tell me what is the problem & how can I solve that? Thanx

Re: Blurry Stream Image
if you don't have any packet losses and channel is not scrambled, it might be that video or audio format is not supported by VLC.
make sure you use the latest VLC. You can also try with MediaPlayer instead of VLC.
Have you tried on FTA MPEG-2 / SD channels ? they also cause problem ?

Re: Blurry Stream Image
I am using the latest version of VLC player & also the channel is FTA MPEG-2 / SD, but it has still the same problem. ÙDont you know the command in MPC for streamig, so that I will be able to stream using Media Player Classic? I think sth fundamentally hasn't been yet configured or it may because of windows 7 incompatibility. Isn't it? My configuration on DVB-Dream is like this:

Re: Blurry Stream Image
this is the command line for MPC to run DD streaming:
if you specify the MPC path correctly under PReferences->(LAN Streaming->) Integration,
than you can simply test with Tools menu MPC option locally. (when streaming address is 127.0.0.1 and port is 1234)
VLC works fine here (windows 7 64 bit) with any MPEG-2 video channel . Check your CPU usage while streaming.
Code: Select all
mplayerc.exe /add "udp://127.0.0.1:1234" /play

Re: Blurry Stream Image
if your streaming IP & Port is correct (127.0.0.1 and 1234 for the same computer tests),
and any firewall doesn't prevent DD's to send UDP packets
then I believe the channel has some different MPEG-2 paramaters which codecs in VLC & MPC dont support. (unlikely)
Sorry, I dont know how to help more, it neeeds you to find out locally what the problem is.
edit:
That channel on hotbird, seems to work fine here on VLC. So better check your firewall or probably something else causes streaming not to work.
Install the latest version btw! (v2.4a for now)

Re: Blurry Stream Image
what antivirus program do you use?
have you tried to disable it for a moment?
I know that I have to manually configure my Symantec Endpoint Protection because default config closed too many ports (and even disabled all my local shares).

Re: Blurry Stream Image
I'm not using any antivirus, coz I recently installed the OS. I also deactivatethe windows firewall, but I don't know what is the problem! Isn't it because of the windows Seven X64? However I had this problem on 32bit platform of OS too
