Need to change EPG system

Postby ghost_9 » Mon Nov 27, 2006 2:38 pm

Hey ,,

I really liked DvbDream , it's my fav program now . But i guess there is no harm to suggest things could help improve the product as we call it in bank Business. So i think it will be great if you change the way EGP grap info becuase it doesn't work some times and it gets same last channle info .

Last thing i would love to make own favorites cuts, moves, rename,up channle ,down channle you got what i mean ? i can't see how to make sport channle up and movies down or what ever ( we need edit tools)

Yeah let's not to forget about pip , what is the deal with pip any way ? does it have to be in the same package to watch them togther or it doesn't , because i need to see some exact channles in my favorites playing in pip .

Best Regards to all

Hello,

thanks for your suggestions, but start a new topic for every suggestion please. I'll move this topic to General section and try to reply, if you still have suggestions, please start the new topics in Feature Requests - one request per topic.

You can make your own favorite folders (right mouse click > New folder). Check also "Channel list settings >>" - click it to open - and CHLTools module.

It must be on the same transponder. If you want other channels, you need another DVB card. It's not possible to watch 2 channels from 2 different TPs at once.

And you also need at least a LNB Twin because of H/V polarity and low/high band.

OK I understand what you mean... You mean reorganizing Favorites nodes (folders).
Reorganizing channels in Favorites or general lists is only available in applying existing filters, but you can use the Remote List to put them in your prefered order.

I have built editor for channel list before, If I get enough requests then I might convert it to CHL format.

I like to be able to edit the channel list for renaming an such. For example music channels will scan in as AUD02, I can edit that to a real name. Sure I could do that inside DD but it's faster not having to wait for the channel to switch after each edit. Mass renaming.
I could also work on the channels list and then import it into another setup. For me it's a little odd but, using the toroidal dish the polarity on all circular signals is reversed (I don't have the special LNBFs, not needed) but if I try to use my channel list elsewhere none of those channels will work, wrong polarity.
I don't know how much demand there is for a CHL editor but there's my input.
Twinahn 1020A, WinXP Pro, Dual Athlon 1800, 3 meter C/Ku dish and toroidal Ku dish.
