Tip How to force Overlay mixer with Generic Vedio Renderer

Postby faam » Wed Dec 12, 2007 7:03 am

Hi

I solved it after long time of trying:

Change the merit of "Overlay mixer 2" to 00800001 and make Vedio Renderer with the GUID = {70E102B0-5556-11CE-97C0-00AA0055595A} which is the Generic Video Renderer make its merit 00400000 and make the Video Render with the GUID = {6BC1CFFA-8FC1-4261-AC22-CFB4CC38DB50} which is The [VMR7=VMR in dvbdream = video mixing renderer] make its merit 00800000 and "Overlay mixer" merit to 00700000

And choose the Generic Video Renderer in DVBDREAM not the overlay mixer so the Overlay mixer 2 is forced when you choose the Generic Video Renderer and it is stable since Yesterday even when I rewind in Timeshift or When I checked reset the directshow "DS" after channel change It is very stable with the Cyberlink 6 from PowerDVD v7 and very nice picture better than any other decoder even in full sceen

Remember any other decoder should send video info type 2 header
to work with the Overlay mixer 2

and in addition to that i had unchecked the offscreen YUV and RGB boxes in the Generic Video Renderer . And unchecked Check hardware overlay limitation box too.

Note for new ones
Merit means the periority of the codec or decoder or the renderer use choose.
Use DSFMgr.exe to change the merit, search in google for DirectShow Filter manager and download it and use it
