Accessing BEV Help Required

Postby dwfa » Sun Jun 01, 2008 1:52 pm

Hello,

I have recently switched from using MyTheatre to DD and have been reading the previous posts on how to get DD to access all the BEV channels. I am able to get some channels (around 300), but I know there are plenty others. I am somewhat new to this whole area so plz bear with me. My set-up :

30 inch Dish (BEV logo on it)
2 LNBFs (point to 82 and 91)
2 lines coming from beach LNBF (4 in total)
2 Space Lab splitters (1 for each bird) 2in 4out
1 4xDISQ 2.0 Chieta (with input from each bird after Space Lab splitter)
91 Nimiq1 is on Port 2
  • LoF Setting tab has Ku-Cir with LoF-1 @ 11250000
Raw Diseqc tab has no entries
22 Khz tab has Controleld by LOF-SW
Uncommitted tab is set to disabled
82 Nimiq2 is on Port 3
  • LoF Setting tab has Ku-Cir with LoF-1 @ 11250000
Raw Diseqc tab has no entries
22 Khz tab has Controleld by LOF-SW
Uncommitted tab is set to disabled
Nova S Plus PCI Card (using DBA api)
ATI 2600 HD
2GB Ram

I am not really sure where to start with DD.

I have got the latest transponder data from joshyfun and put that in the transponders directory of DD. Did the scan using the setting above. I have unchecked NA Fast Scan as per tutorial. After the scan has completed I end up with about 200 channels. With MT I get well over 700.

So I really am not sure what do to next and I am not really sure what all those settings mean (I took some of them from MT).

Any constructive advise would be appreciated, or pointing to docs that will help is also welcome.

Thx in advance.

More info after first post. I have taken an older version of my transponder info (used in MT) and combined it with the ones from joshyfun and I am now able to scan and get almost 200 channels just on nimiq2 (BEV82). So I conclude that it is really the transponder info that needs to be correct - for my setup. My next question is, where can I get good quality transponder info. I thought it would be from joshyfun. Again any help would be appreciated.
