SS2 finds only Horisontal/Left transponders with DD

This is what I have:

DD v1.4i
LNB: DSS922 LOF=10,750
SkyStar-2
Driver v4.4.3.0 - latest downloaded from Technisat and installed with Server4PC
Windows-XP SP3 Home
NO DiseqC. LNB connected directly to SS2 and DiseqC selected "None" in DD. LOF1=10,750,000 LOF2=10,750,000
Dish pointed do 119W

In DiseqC settings of DD I selected satellite "Echostar-7" and manually added all transponders from Anik F3, which I found on www.lyngsat.com I'm especially interested in transponders 12,002L, 12,124L, 12,142R and 12,155L which broadcast Russian channels + all Dish Network channels from Echostar-7

When I try to scan, DD finds all Horisontal/Left transponders on both Anic F3 and Echostar-7, but doesn't find any transponders with Vertical/Right polarization. I had another dish with Dish-500Pro LNB installed and pointed to 110W and 119W like it suppose to be. When set my DD/SS2 for that system and plug it instead of my single-LNB dish, it finds all channels both H/L and V/R on 110W and by some reason just 12,282R on 119W, so at least I know that SS2 is not damaged and can select both Right and Left transponders.

With my single-LNB DSS922 dish I can receive channels from "Left" transponders only, but also I know that LNB is good too because I tried to re-aim it to 148W and successfully found all transponders with "Vertical/Right" polarization, but no "Horizontal/Left".

It looks like a mystyery. Can somebody explain, why it goes so bad with polarization switching and how to fix it? I can't believe there are only "Left" transponders on 119W.

I found a parameter "Voltage for bandstacking LNBs". It can be switched between 13V and 18V. If I set it manually to 13V, DD finds only "Vertical/Righr" transponders and fail to scan "Horisontal/Left". I watch scanning on "Server4PC" and DD fails to switch polarization to "Vertical" for vertical transponders. If I set that parameter to 18V - DD scans and finds only "Horisontal/Left" transponders and fails to switch polarization to "Vertical" for "Vertical/Right" transponders.

Any idea, why DD fails to switch polarization and how to fix that?

probably because you selected WRONG lnb type.
From your description, you should use "NA legacy" or something similar.

Looks like you selected bandstacked LNB, while you do not have banstacked LNB.
Bandstacked LNB use one voltage only (no matter what polarization is selected). And this is why you don't get half of transponders.

PS: now you know how it's important to tell all parameters (not just those that you think are relevant, and omit "irrelevant" stuff).
the same is happening in parallel thread. The author does NOT provide the description of his configuration and waits for help. He can wait all day long..... but nobody would guess what he is doing wrong.

Thank you. That was really "Bandstaked LNB" selected and I spent so many hours trying to fix the problem. I selected "Legacy LNB" instead and now all transponders were found both Vertical and Horisontal.

I wish all settings of DD were described in details in some documentation or FAQ, but I couldn't find anything about difference between those types of LNB's and some other mysterious parameters like Modulation, FEC, Symbol rate, EPG etc. I just try default settings or information from different sources without full understanding of process. I remember analog satellite TV in mid 90's. That was pretty simple. Tune to necessary frequency and catch the signal. That's it. As better orientation of dish - as better picture. Now everything is so complicated...
